Exercise 7 - Rows
Tips to make your Home Workouts more challenging!
Its been 4 weeks now since the lockdown and those bodyweight exercises may be becoming too easy or tedious. So we will be sending you daily exercises you can do with items around the house. Everyone has some paint pots, heavy objects or even some empty milk gallons they can fill to provide a more challenging workout!
We call this the Paint Pot Chronicles!
Row to Grow!
Step 1 Starting Position: Hold the dumbbells so that your thumbs point in toward one another and your palms face your body.
Step 2 Stand with your feet about shoulder-width apart, your knees should be slightly bent. Slowly bend forward at your waist so that your chest is leaning forward over your feet.
Step 3 Begin with your arms fully extended, enabling the dumbbells to naturally hang down at about mid-shin level.
Step 4 Next, lift or “row” the dumbbells up to the top and close to your stomach. Slowly return to the starting position and repeat.
Step 5 Make sure you keep your head up, back straight, and your shoulders back throughout this movement so that your spine is secure and stable at all times. As many reps as possible (aim for 7-12) for 5 sets and 60secs rest in between each set.
