Exercise 3 - Squats
Tips to make your Home Workouts more challenging!
Its been 3 weeks now since the lockdown and those bodyweight exercises may be becoming too easy or tedious. So we will be sending you daily exercises you can do with items around the house. Everyone has some paint pots, heavy objects or even some empty milk gallons they can fill to provide a more challenging workout!
We call this the Paint Pot Chronicles!
Starting Position: Grab a pot of brilliant white, Set your feet shoulder-width apart, toes slightly turned out. Pull in your lower abs, and keep your eyes forward.
Slowly bend at the knees and drop your hips to lower your body until either your bum touches your heels or until you are at just below parallel. Keep your heels flat on the floor.
At the bottom of the exercise pause for a moment and strongly push back up through your heels to the starting position.
Keep your back as straight as possible throughout the movement. Do as many reps as you can for 5 sets but do not forfeit your form!
You can also opt for a wider foot stance which will use more of the glutes and hamstrings.
